COVID-19 statement

Dear Patients,

We hope that you and your families are healthy and doing as well as can be expected during these trying times. As businesses are beginning to reopen, we wanted to give you an update on what to expect at our office, re-assure you of our preparedness efforts, and review how you can help protect yourself and your family.

As our patient schedule is returning to normal, it is possible to have a small waiting period prior to your appointment. We have arranged the seating in a manner to follow social distancing practices. If you are waiting to check in or out, we request that you maintain a six-foot distance from others.  We ask that you wear a mask while in the waiting room to protect staff as well as other patients. Once you are in a room, you may remove your mask for examinations and treatments. Arriving promptly for your appointment and avoiding being early or late is appreciated, as this can help reduce wait periods and people in the waiting room.

Our staff continues to follow the latest guidelines set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure your well-being.  We require that anyone with recent symptoms of illness or any known possible exposure to Covid-19 avoid coming into the office. We continue to limit outside vendors and drug representatives. We have removed all of our product testers from the waiting room, but a staff member will be glad to assist you if you would like to experience any of our wonderful products or sunscreens.  We are cleaning all surfaces with hospital grade disinfectant, including counters, ink-pens, door knobs, faucets, sinks, and toilets between each patient contact and hourly.  We continue to disinfect all patient room surfaces after each patient and wash our hands before and after each patient, which is our standard protocol. We have multiple stations of hand sanitizer through-out the office and encourage patients to use it both on arrival and when leaving the office. To reduce the risk of illness, everyone should practice hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and avoid touching your face, eyes, nose or mouth. We will continue to avoid physical contact when greeting our patients, however difficult this may be, but because we love you all, we want to ensure the safety of everyone.

If you or anyone you know has been in close contact with recently sick individuals or you develop signs of illness, cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, fever, etc., we ask that you call the office, 615-321-1020, and reschedule your appointment. We do ask you to let us know as soon as possible, however, so we can attempt to schedule someone from the waiting list.

By taking these measures, we are all helping to reduce the risks of potential infection to ourselves and our patients.  Thank you for your continued loyalty.  It is our pleasure to meet your skin health needs!

Sincerely,

Melissa Langley M.D. Dermatology & Aesthetics
